Welcome!

We, Children Are People, join together our hearts, resources and prayers for the purpose of relieving suffering of children in the poorest areas of the world.

We support Sudanese children and Kenyan children who are under the care of pastors and other Christian caregivers. We have also been able to reach out to Haitian children who suffer in the poorest country in the world.

It is amazing how God can use a small organization like ours to make such an impact. Thank you for giving into this work to sustain the lives of young people who felt forgotten and were left to starvation and disease. Jesus said if we give a cup of water to one of these we have given it unto him. (my paraphrase of Matthew 10:42)

Water is Life

"Water is Life" is a quote from Pastor John Garang. He is the pastor overseeing the care of our Sudanese refugee children. The children came from Maar Sudan, a village in southern Sudan where Pastor John, a lost boy of Sudan, grew up. John is just returning from that village this week with reports that many children are dying. Pastor John brings children to Kenya to live and go to school.

God gave John land, a church and now as of January 2009....a water well on the property! They can drink, bathe and wash without fear of illness or lack. The well is deep (about 280 ft) and the water has tested excellent in clarity and purity. The water is life for them and can be sold cheap enough for the people in the surrounding area to buy it. Many were using river water to wash and drink!
